Meter numbers
MPAN for electricity, MPRN for gas, SPID for water. They identify the supply so suppliers can price it properly.
Four simple steps to a better business energy deal — and most of the work is ours. Here is exactly what happens.
Nothing here needs a meeting. Most clients spend about ten minutes in total on the whole thing.
A recent bill carries everything we need in one place: meter numbers, current supplier, end date, consumption and the rates you are on today.
You sign a Letter of Authority so we can speak to suppliers for you. We take your usage out to the market and push for the best commercial rates.
One clear comparison, with our commission on each option stated up front. If your existing renewal offer is already competitive, we will tell you.
Your new supplier takes over when the current contract ends. No interruption, no engineer visit, and we diarise the next renewal for you.
If you can photograph a recent bill, you have already done the hard part. If you cannot find one, we can usually retrieve the details with your authority.

The end date sets the window. Too early and suppliers will not quote; too late and you drift onto out-of-contract rates.
Your usage in kWh. This is what the market prices against, so a real figure beats an estimate every time.
Unit rate and standing charge, so we can tell you honestly whether what you have is already competitive.
Our job is to take the confusing, time-consuming parts of comparing business energy off your desk. Here is exactly what happens, and what we need from you at each stage.
Answer a few quick questions online or send us a recent bill. The bill is ideal because it carries everything in one place: your meter numbers (MPAN for electricity, MPRN for gas), your current supplier and end date, your consumption in kWh, and your current unit rate and standing charge.
You sign a Letter of Authority, which simply lets us speak to suppliers on your behalf. We then take your usage to the market, push suppliers for their best commercial rates, and pull the results into one clear comparison — not a wall of jargon.
We talk you through the options, including what our commission is on each one, so the decision is genuinely yours. If your existing renewal offer is already competitive, we will say so. There is never any pressure to switch.
Once you have chosen, your new supplier manages the changeover on the day your current contract ends. Your supply is never interrupted and no engineer needs to visit. We then diarise your next renewal so it never sneaks up on you.
Ready to see the market? Start a free, no-obligation comparison and we will come back to you with the options worth considering — usually the same working day.
Indicative timings for a straightforward single-site switch. Multi-site portfolios and objections can add time.
| Stage | Who does it | Typical timing |
|---|---|---|
| Send a bill / answer four questions | You | A few minutes |
| Letter of Authority signed | You | Same day |
| Market searched and prices gathered | Us | Usually the same working day |
| Options talked through, commission disclosed | Both | One short call |
| Contract signed and supplier notified | Us | Immediately after you decide |
| Supply transfers | New supplier | On your existing end date |
| Next renewal diarised | Us | Well before the end date |
The questions we get asked every week — answered without the sales spin.
It is more straightforward than most people expect, and you will not lose supply at any point — the wires and pipes stay exactly the same, only the company billing you changes.
The changeover happens on the day your current contract ends. Nothing is switched off and no engineer needs to visit.
Most business energy contracts let you agree new rates well before the end date, and many suppliers will quote up to 12 months ahead. Starting early gives you time to watch the market rather than accept whatever lands in front of you.
Leaving it too late is the expensive mistake. If a contract ends without a new one in place you roll onto out-of-contract or deemed rates, which are typically among the highest a supplier charges. If that has already happened to you, it is usually worth moving quickly.
Ideally a recent energy bill — it carries everything we need in one place:
If you cannot find a bill, we can still get started with your business name, address and postcode.
There is no fee for you to pay us directly. Like most business energy brokers, we are paid a commission by the supplier you choose, which is built into the unit rate on your contract.
We will tell you what that commission is before you sign anything. Under Ofgem rules, suppliers and brokers are expected to be transparent about third-party costs, and you are entitled to ask for that figure on any quote you receive from anyone.
We work across the business energy market rather than a single panel — that includes the large legacy suppliers and the business-only specialists who often price better for smaller commercial sites.
No broker has access to literally every tariff in the market, and any that claims to should be treated with caution. What we can tell you is which suppliers we approached and what each one came back with.
Yes. Multi-site portfolios are usually where the biggest savings sit, because sites drift onto different contracts, different end dates and wildly different rates over time.
We can align end dates, put sites onto a single contract where that works better, and handle half-hourly (HH) metered supplies as well as standard non-half-hourly profiles.
Send us a recent bill or answer four quick questions. We will tell you honestly whether you are on a good deal — and if you are, we will say so.
